Frequently asked questions.
I’m new. what should i expect when i visit?
We offer a blended service at 10 a.m on Sunday mornings, both online and in person. “Blended” for us means we sing traditional hymns but also contemporary praise songs. We have bibles and hymn books in the pews, but also display everything on a large projection screen.
Coffee time beginning at 9:30 a.m. The congregation tends to gather in the lobby around the chairs and sofas. They will likely welcome you and introduce themselves. About 5 minutes before worship the doors to the sanctuary are opened.
We are a smaller church, a typical Sunday service will have between 25-40 worshipers in the pews. The service lasts 55-60 minutes. We offer communion on the first Sunday of every month. Following the Methodist tradition, all are welcome to take communion, you do not have to be a member to participate.
Our guests are not expected to give during our offering. You are encouraged to fill out a visitor card- located in the back of the pews- and place it in the offering plate.
where do i park?
Our main parking lot is in the rear of the property. Handicap parking is available in both the rear lot and on the driveway next to the sanctuary entrance. You may enter through the rear door that is closest to the parking lot (most do) or the side entrance closest to the sanctuary.
Are you child-friendly?
Yes! Just like Jesus, we love the little children.
We have a terrific Sunday program for the chuldren. They will begin by attending the service in the sanctuary. The Pastor will invite them up to the front for Children’s Moments about 15 minutes into the service. Shy kid? No problem, it’s optional. If your kid does go to the front the pastor will chat with them for a few minutes, offer a prayer, and then the children are invited to sing “Jesus Love The Little Children.” Afterwards the children are invited to Sunday School, where our Youth Director will offer a lesson, snacks and possibly some rec time. Again, Sunday School is totally optional.
what’s the methodist religion all about?
The Methodist Church is a major global branch of Protestant Christianity that traces its roots back to the 18th-century revival movement led by John Wesley and his brother Charles in England. Characterized by a strong emphasis on social justice, community service, and God's grace, Methodism has grown into a diverse global tradition with the United Methodist Church (UMC) serving as its largest denomination.
